Chapter 12

Summary

• In chapter 12 of "Compromise: A Librarian’s Tale", a girl named Livira is learning to read and write through the help of four trainees, Arpix, Carlotte, Meelan, and Jella
• Arpix is a serious child who Livira is trying to make laugh, and Carlotte is a new friend of Livira's who seems to believe in library magic
• Livira is among the last remaining in the dining hall, having eaten a satisfying meal for the first time in a while
