Chapter 32

Summary

• Livira enters a room within the library which contains many desks and a large, grey structure in the center with a door that somewhat resembles her bedroom's door.
• She suspects her target, Master Ellis, may be within the building, so she decides to wait and listen for the door opening.
• While waiting, Livira feels vibrations and guesses that something powerful is at work inside the structure.
• After falling asleep and waking, she finds the door slightly ajar. She sneaks towards the door but does not see or hear Master Ellis.
• She tries to peek inside the structure and only sees an empty grey room, puzzling her since Master Ellis wouldn't have come so far for nothing.
• Feeling nervous yet determined, she steps into the room and suddenly finds herself immersed in another world, full of darkness and knowledge.
• In this world, she experiences vivid accounts of war from the perspective of an unknown entity, which she gradually realizes is a creature with six limbs. The creature's thoughts and experiences make her believe she's inside her dark book.
• Suddenly, Livira feels a small creature attach itself to her and she can't control her fear. She calls out for a guide, the image of her Raven guide filling her mind.
• Erupting into the light, she finds herself back in the grey room with the black book in her hand and a black feather from her raven guide. The Raven is perched behind her on top of the structure.
