Summary

• -Tellson’s Bank in London dispatches Mr. Lorry to its Paris branch in an attempt to protect their valuable ledgers.
• -Darnay arrives to try to stop Lorry from going, but Lorry insists.
• -Lorry receives an urgent letter addressed to the Marquis St. Evrémonde, which contains a plea from Gabelle, who has been imprisoned by the revolutionaries.
• -Darnay reads the letter and resolves to go to Paris to save Gabelle. After writing a farewell letter to Lucie and Doctor Manette, he departs.
