Chapter 56

Summary

• Evelyn is trying to convince Harry to go with her to Europe, but Harry doesn't want to leave his life behind and completely retire.
• Harry suggests moving back to Los Angeles and having Celia marry a friend of his so that they can all stay together.
• Harry reveals that he has met someone that he could potentially see himself being with in a relationship.
• Evelyn assures Harry that they will figure out the situation, and she is glad that he might have found someone to love.
• Evelyn and her driver, Nick, come across a major car collision involving Harry and an unknown person. They barely manage to bring Harry to the hospital.
• Evelyn discovers that Harry was under the influence of alcohol and had a fatal accident. The accident also killed the person in the passenger's seat, who was Harry's newfound love interest.
• To prevent Harry from facing charges of vehicular manslaughter, Evelyn and Nick rearrange the accident scene to make it look like the other man was driving, and they assure that no trace of Harry is left.
• An hour after Evelyn says her farewells to Harry in the hospital, Harry passes away.
