• The Claudius family include Advenius, a senator who visits Vis at Villa Telimus, and his daughter Aequa, a Class Four student at the Academy.
• Other Academy students include Ascenia, a septimus; Atticus; Ava; Axien; Belli Volenis, a Class Three student; Callidus Ericius, a Class Seven student; Cassia, a Class Four student; and many more.
• Atrox is a Matron in charge of the orphanage at Letens, and Brixia is a child from there.
• The Telimus family is another important one with Caeror, who was killed at the Academy's Iudicium, and his brother Ulciscor, a Senator who meets Vis at Letens Prison and offers him a chance at the Academy. Lerius is their father.
• Other important characters include Vis, originally named Diago, who fled Suus; his sister Ysabel, the princess of Suus; their father, King Cristoval; and his former advisors Estevan and Fadrique.
