Chapter Sixty-Three

Summary

• Bryce has survived the previous night’s encounter and found her leg no longer hurts. Despite wanting to stay home and care for Hunt, Jesiba insists she do something productive and so she begins filling out job applications.
• She leaves Hunt with her younger brother Ruhn, relaying his medication schedule while the latter reacts to Hunt’s injured back. Ruhn wishes he had been the one to confront Amelie instead of Hunt, which surprises Bryce who isn’t sure why her brother would want to help.
• After getting through the day, including a high-profile meeting with a buyer in the gallery, Bryce returns to her apartment where she attempts to log into the Redner Industries website. She eventually figures out Danika’s password and gains access to her account.
• Bryce finds a hidden folder named "Party Invites" containing a picture of her old jacket and realises that Danika had hidden a clue in the jacket. She finds a hidden flash drive in the lining of the jacket and decides to check out its contents.
• The flash drive contains three unmarked videos and when Bryce opens the first one, both she and Lehabah are shocked by its contents, hinting that it carries significant information.
