Chapter 32: Yo-Yo’s Roomies

In Chapter 32 of Catch-22, Yossarian is sharing a tent with four new, inexperienced officers who joke around and call him "Yo-Yo," which makes him angry. He tries to get Chief White Halfoat to move in with him to scare the officers away, but Halfoat is going into the hospital to die of pneumonia. Yossarian starts to feel a sense of protectiveness towards the young officers, but they burn Orr's birch legs and remove Mudd's belongings from the tent. Yossarian goes to Rome with Hungry Joe and the next morning, Nately's prostitute wakes up to find that she is in love.
